On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, our Ghana International Outpost team visited Kyekyewere in the Atwima Kwanwoma district to provide dental care for  children in need in the community. The children were screened and selected from seven different schools in the area prior to the event. From these schools, the team selected 101 students for treatment. After obtaining the consent forms from the student’s parents, the team was able to provide dental care to 87 students. Of these 87 students, 45 received scaling and polishing and 42 students had teeth extracted.

As  part of their continued treatment and education, the students learned how to properly brush their teeth and maintain their dental hygiene from one of the volunteers.

The Ghana Team looks forward to continuing to deliver Smiles like these to their community!
