Bright Now! Dental’s Ohio Team hosted it’s second Day of Giving for 2018 on August 25, where they provided free dental care for nearly 40 individuals in need from the local Huber Heights community.
“Words cannot express how grateful I am for this event today,” said patient Nathana. Nathana was experiencing severe pain in one of her molars and was feeling anxious about coming to the dentist after many years. She said the team was very professional and friendly and were able to finally get her out of pain.
Smiles for Everyone Foundation partnered with local nonprofit organizations to help pre-screen and refer patients like Nathana to the dental clinic. Partners include homeless shelters and support services organizations such as Miami Valley Community Action Partnership, Ohio Amvets, YWCA Dayton, and Homefull.
Volunteer providers at the Huber Heights Day of Giving include Dr. Stephen Harlan, Dr. Prisca Khadka Chhetri Dhakal, Dr. Kavitha Pingali, Dr. Bradly Russell, Dr. Navdeep Sandhu, and Dr. Randa Zarka.
Between the two Days of Giving, the Ohio Team has provided care for over 100 patients, delivering nearly $100,000 in donated dentistry!
