Monarch Dental, Fort Smith, AR knows a thing or two about giving back to their community. In partnership with Charolette Tidwell and Antioch Youth & Family, the Fort Smith Team has lent a helping hand to those in need for many years. It was only fitting that they would host a Day of Giving and give back using the skills they know best!

On Saturday, September 29, Monarch Dental opened its Fort Smith, AR doors to provide pro-bono dental services to the local communities. Six doctors and nearly 20 support staff delivered Smiles, and even tears of joy, to many patients in need.

“I was surprised, I did not expect the service I got!,” said patient Judith. “I thank you so much; not having dental insurance is hard and I care about my smile. You guys are great, may God continue to bless you.”

Since the Fort Smith Team already had a strong connection with Antioch Youth and Family, it was only fitting that they asked Smiles for Everyone Foundation to reach out to Charolette Tidwell to promote the event to the communities in need. Antioch Youth and Family provides thousands of meals to the Arkansas communities, where one-in-five people are food insecure. Within days of connecting with Charolette, the schedule for the Fort Smith Day of Giving was full.

Smiles for Everyone Foundation would not be able to continue their mission of delivering Smiles for everyone without the partnership of Smile Brands Inc. affiliate dental offices, like the Fort Smith Monarch Dental, as well as the partnerships created with non-profits in the community. Other non-profits that assisted in identifying underserved individuals to attend the Fort Smith Day of Giving include Community Rescue Mission, The Next Step, and Hamilton House.

Overall, the team was able to provide dental care to nearly 60 patients, deliver over $40,000 in donated dentistry! They look forward to delivering more Smiles in 2019.
