145 patients received care from our local Nicaragua Outpost Team in April.
On April 8-10, an outreach was hosted in the community of La Pita in the Coyolar region in the municipality of La Dalia in the department of Matagalpa in Nicaragua. This is a community with a population of 1,100, where our partners at Accion Medica Cristiana are currently running a food security project.
Before the outreach, 88 students and 57 adults were selected for treatment by teachers and community leaders, based on their dental needs. Three dentists and their support staff worked diligently to conduct cleanings, fillings and extractions for a total of 145 patients.
