Bright Now!® Dental Honors Veterans in Kent, WA

The Washington Bright Now! Dental Team hosted their third Day of Giving to honor our Veterans! Over 50 volunteers gathered on Sunday to serve heroes from local veteran organizations, such as Veterans of Foreign Wars, VA Hospitals, and William J. Woods Veterans House. These former soldiers were welcomed to the Kent office and provided with free dental care as a thank-you for their duty to our country. Services included checkups, cleanings, exams, fillings, extractions, and more.

The Team treated 75 patients, who later shed light on the need for these philanthropic events. Veteran Barbara S. shared, “I lost my dental coverage when I retired, but I needed to be seen. The last time I visited the dentist was two and a half years ago, so I appreciate you doing this!” Patient Janice R. agreed by including, “There are so many vets that need help in any way possible. Dentistry is a big part of that help because so many of us don’t have insurance.”

Overall, the volunteers were able to give back nearly $65,000 in donated dentistry to the heroes who serve us all. The Smiles for Everyone Foundation would like to thank Team Washington, including Dr. Benjamin Dorantes, Dr. Julie Kim, Dr. James Liu, Dr. Jusmaine Maitre, Dr. Richa Mehta, Dr. Ashifa Nurani, Dr. Sumedha Sharma, Dr. Jerome Yamada, and Dr. Hosan Park. It was their hard work and dedication that allowed us to deliver Smiles to the patriots in Kent!

The next Day of Giving that the Foundation is hosting will be at Bright Now! Dental in Fresno, CA on May 19th. Please visit www.smilesforeveryone.org for more information.
