Since SEAL Team 6’s visit to our Thailand and Laos International Outposts, the local Teams have been eager to continue the work in their communities.
The Laos Team went straight to work, planning their calendar of outreaches to host one clinic every month through the beginning of 2020. Dr. Sonexay and his Team are passionate about helping the local children receive dental care and education, so the Team’s outreaches in April, May and June were held at schools around Laos.
April
The first Outreach held after the International Outpost Trip was at the South Sapantong School, where the Team provided care for 87 students.
May
Focusing on education and teaching even the youngest of kids how to properly brush their teeth, the Team held an outreach at the Ezra School, providing fluoride treatments for 70 students.
June
The Team’s Outreach in June was the largest one yet, held at the Na Siao Primary School. Dr. Sonexay and his Team continued to focus on education and providing fluoride treatment for over 100 students, hoping to encourage ongoing oral hygiene.
