Bright Now!® Dental Delivers Smiles to Communities in Florida!
On Saturday, March 7th, volunteers from Bright Now!® Dental partnered with the Smiles for Everyone Foundation to provide communities surrounding Largo, Florida with the chance to receive free dental care! Six doctors and over forty support staff came together to host the Largo Day of Giving for low-income and underinsured individuals.
Volunteers were able to provide free exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions and more to 53 patients who were referred to the event by local nonprofit organizations. Some of these groups include Homeless Empowerment Program, a stability service for families in need; Dress for Success of Tampa Bay, an organization that empowers women to achieve economic independence; and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay.
When asked about their experience, patients provided nothing but positive feedback about the generosity of the volunteers. “I’m grateful there is a Team that is willing to meet the needs of those who sometimes can’t get the care we need,” expressed patient Bridgette O. “Thank you. You didn’t have to, but you did and I’m extremely grateful for all of your help.”
The Smiles for Everyone Foundation would like to thank the entire Team of volunteers, including Dr. Fred Aledo-Rentas, Dr. Maryam Habibi, Dr. Fuad Malki, Dr. Alexander F. Marrero, Dr. Keum Park, and Dr. Hector Rodriguez, for donating their time and skills to deliver Smiles in their community!
